Most recently I have been finding a lot of these types of images in various groups on Facebook. I got this particular image from theManhattan before 1990 group, which got it from the Brooklyn Historical Society.

That is a great picture of old New York City. It is amazing how much building went on during the early 1900’s and how so many of the bridges and tunnels continue to be used today, over a century later.
I must say i actually love old photos like these. Reminds me of the show on History channel that use to run called The men Who Built America. Very interesting to see the massive constructions of these bridges which still stand.
