I was only 8 or 9 when Eric B. & Rakim dropped Eric B. for President, but fortunately for me, one of my older cousins had to single on vinyl, one of the first records I played over and over again on my parents’ Technics record player. I discovered a lot of great music that summer (I think it was 86 but it might have been 87). My memory is not quite what it used to be. 😉
